The Optimate 4 type TM630-PR set comes with a DIN-Hella connector (mini cigarette plug) and is suitable for both lead/acid and lithium batteries. The Optimate 4 Quad Premium ensures that your motorcycle battery is always full and your motorcycle starts quickly, ideal for the winter months. The Tecmate Optimate 4 Quad, which we offer, is a trickle charger and battery conditioner that is indispensable to keep your motorcycle battery in top condition. Unique to the Optimate 4 Quad is that it is suitable for motorcycles with a can-bus system, so you can connect the charger directly via the cigarette plug or DIN plug in the dashboard. Normally this connection would be closed by the can-bus system when the engine is switched off, but thanks to the special program in the Optimate 4 Quad this connection remains active, so you can charge your battery without any problems without damaging the system.

The Optimate 4 Quad is suitable for both motorcycles with a can-bus system and for motorcycles without this system (simply switch the program of the Optimate 4 Canbus). This battery charger can be used for all types of batteries, including Lithium batteries from brands such as Yuasa, Varta, Bosch, QMP, Nitro, Exide, Landport, and more.

Canbus and Battery Chargers: Many modern motorcycles are equipped with a canbus system, such as BMW motorcycles from 2006 onwards. This system controls the control of components via a single communication line. If you connect a standard battery charger via the mini cigarette plug, it will be switched off by the motorcycle's software after approximately 30 seconds. The Optimate 4 Quad has special software that ensures that the mini cigarette plug remains active, so that you can recharge without any problems. When connected directly to the battery, the normal Optimate 3 is also sufficient.
